Making a living.
A few years ago snapped this photo of a man and his cart. It may not look like much, but this is how he makes his living. This particular photo was taken in St Marc not far from the ocean. Anyone want to help push for a while? My job is looking a pretty good at the moment. Would you like to reach out and make a difference? Contact us at Hope for Haiti.

Clinic Days. This past month Dr Susan and Nurse Vonie teamed up for multiple clinic's around the St Marc area. Not many years ago clinic's were only a dream. Now with Nurse Vonie weekly visits to some of the EMEVI areas are a realty. The Lord opened the doors wide to meet the needs of His people as they have cried out for help. Clinic's are happening multiple times a year as some gifted Dr's have made this a priority in their lives. Care to help support this ministry? Let us know at Hope for Haiti. Like to see some additional photo's of the clinic's to include the twins? Click here

Bataille School has been growing! About 160 children now attend in this remote setting in Haiti. Two churches here in the states and a number of individuals are helping to support this much needed school and education that comes with it. The current church/school was built out of local trees, rock and mud with the addition of roofing that was hand carried in. A short slideshow/video clip of that building may be seen by clicking here and clicking on the launch media player button then to Bataille coming together. The story continues to be written as these "Forgotten Ones" can shed that name for a new day is being written. A trail has been built from the river basin to the mountain top to the south. A ravine along the trail will soon be bridged which will allow for additional supplies to reach this beautiful setting. Supplies that set the stage for a new building to accommodate the school needs as well as the church. Sand, rock will be collected from the river to be used with concrete that will all have to be hauled in, much of it by hand. Plans are for a steel structure with a upgrade in roofing to help with the severe storms that pass this way. Interested in helping? www.hopeforhaiti.ws

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Camp Meeting has just come to a close. Each year a tremendous amount of work and preparation goes into this with teams from EMEVI and the states joining together as one body. Anyone could become weary..., you might even feel like your standing in a hole? Read on -
Here's what Marcel had to share about Camp Meeting. It was more than we ever thought it could be. The worship, coming together, preaching, ordinations, weddings, baptism's, new decisions for Christ, provision from the EMEVI churches. A speaker/preacher from the Haitian parliament who works in the Gonaives Department coming to share with adults and children, encouraging the children to jump higher than the stars and even then if you fall you will still be with the stars – in other words pursue your dreams to their fullest. Enough food was donated to share with the community and Pastor Marc representing Colmini brought not only the largest pig and numerous eggplant but included a cow for the feast. Teachers came to share about taking care of the environment, and soil, also a Doctor about how to better take care of families and still another person about the economy and how to start a small business and then how to manage it.
Then it was shared to continue to pray but also to act on what God is leading in!
The fruit is evident of what God is doing here, one life at a time, and, there is hope. It may start by standing in a hole and continue on by standing high in the rafters. Whatever your part, stand firm in the Lord. There's more to this story and some photo's as well. 5 more trusses to erect here, at Colmini a goat pen and shelter, at Charrette completion of their school, children to be sponsored. It may seem daunting as there is all this and so much more, let's not grow weary as we stand with our brothers and sisters cheering them on and doing our part to lift them in prayer...
Photo's from Camp Meeting found here
Tomorrow a couple will join Marcel for a week, then some travels are ahead. June and July brings teams from Michigan then the end of July into August a team from Kansas + . Later in August it's time for EMEVI's in country mission trip, this year to Port-de-Paix.
Please continue to lift Marcel and his team up as they continue to reach out with the love of Christ.

A Time to Pause
Seasons in our lives, this one to say good bye or better yet, see you later. Prospere Profit seen to the right passed away Easter Sunday morning. This dear brother from Charrette was a humble servant that liked to be in the background just taking care of whatever needed attention. People from all over came to share in a very special farewell this past Sunday. Charrette in what we might call the foothills just east of St Marc, was a vision that Prospere was a part of from the start. Meeting under a tree no so many years ago, the community mocked the Christians, but, they stood fast. Now a church building and school make there presence known with over 360 children in attendance. God heard the cries of the saints there, Prospere being one of them, one that set an example that will not soon be forgotten. Over 1000 people gathered to share, grieve and rejoice remembering seeing the light of Christ shine through this man. He was described this way, “an example to follow, full of integrity, compassionate, always there, always giving financially out of his poverty, a blessing” to name a few.
The school still awaits completion needing stucco, paint, windows and doors but the example has been set and a legacy will follow as this man was contagious, that is contagious with the Lord's love.
Please pray with our brother's and sister's as they grieve this tremendous loss.
Today a group from Michigan is working their way home after a week with Marcel. Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. (Prov 19:21) A funeral Sunday for Prospere, and next door to the church another family grieves a loss. Recently a 37 year old neighbor that has been ill committed his life to the Lord. This past week he went home to see his Maker. The church had already come alongside to help the family and continues even now to help carry the load that they bear. So the plans that were made which seemed good to man, came with a few adjustments and compassion from the Michigan group. For such a time as this.
